Lego Printmaking

Join us for an evening of creating your unique art with Lego! Hosted by Bobby and Joan at their home. You will use Legos as “inked stamps” printing onto paper. Use multiple colors to form patterns and abstracted imagery. Create your own masterpiece or follow a template. We will provide art supplies, snacks and instruction. Bring your favorite wine, and a great story.

A variety of printmaking processes—relief, screen printing, intaglio, and lithography—transfer ink from a surface to paper. This allows you to create original art. Resulting in aesthetics different from paintings or drawings. Lego printing is a type of relief printing. Legos are used to create raised areas (like a stamp) that are then inked and printed. Using Legos allows for multiple colors to be printed on the same paper to create patterns and abstract imagery.
